Logo In Progress
I am currently involved in a logo study process for a downtown retail boutique in a village on the Grand River.
Every business, no matter what size, local or national or international, should always have a strong logo.
Logos are tools.
They communicate the brand.
Easily identifies a business.
Help create brand loyalists.
Logos are not just for the multi-nationals. They should be developed with care, and follow main important logo design rules. Such as: be symbolic, iconic, simple non complex, and reflect the image of the business.
Don’t forget your logo is one of the only parts of your brand that you control as you only control what you say to the public and how you say it ...

Remember, it is hard to remember a name or a title of a business. We are inundated by messages all day long and need to help communicate the brand in a mix of chaos.
Part of a good brand identity is having a logo (an iconic symbolic graphic) and a ’stylization’ (Typography) of their name.
Remember, if you create a communication piece, no matter what the medium (billboard, print ad, website, bus shelter) is to make sure your brand is in the forefront so there is no confusion. This enables the public to see that it is ’you’ in fact, and read the message... vs.... hmm who is this? and never getting to the point of the piece.
I watched the presidential election in the United States in 2008, did you Notice in mid to Late august when both parties adapted bold graphical Logos?
Ok back to the logo study that is in progress - take a peek below!
Note: The directive was to be approachable, feminine (its for a Bra Fitting Specialist Boutique located in Canada with the first initial "R"), portable (good for multi-media including signage and for a fashion label), and create a feeling of warmth to reflect the 30 years in business.

I love a good logo study.
it truly is a very important matter that needs to be done thoughtfully and considerately.
having a design Parti ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parti ) will always make the task easier to accomplish.
